Hi, I’m Jason Narog, strategy writer for Free Texas Holdem Secrets. You may have read some of my articles on Ezine, or perhaps you’ve run across my pen name – Michael Neilson. I’ve been playing poker both live and online for years. In high school I was the guy in the back of the class with a deck of cards either taking other kids lunch money or giving away mine during a “friendly” game of five card draw, heads or tails, or anything else we found to play. My first experience with texas holdem was in 2001, playing limit on Yahoo Games. From there I moved to Bugsy Club and Poker Pages playing in as many tournaments as I possibly could with a friend of mine who was away at college. I started hosting games at my house in 2003 and made a good enough living at it that I barely worked during 2004. In 2005 I began selling the royal flush of spades poker money clip at poker money clips dot com. I also wrote From Goldfish To Piranha, which is a 100+ page strategy guide available to all for free if you join the mailing list (on the right side of the page.) I also began playing over at USA Poker, which is part of the Titan Poker program, as well as Poker Champs {back when Gus Hansen was the front man for the site.} On USA and Poker Champs I set out to figure out a way to never, ever deposit a dime yet collect checks playing online poker. My success was much greater on USA until they were caught up by the “We Can’t Allow USA Players” campaign that banned many of us from playing online at our favorite sites. So just in the nick of time I withdrew the money I had in my account and received a check from USA, to whom I had never deposited a dime.
My live tournament and table game experience comes from playing at an Indian Casino in Southern California. To be honest, most of my play during the 2009 year has been spent playing on Facebook as I’ve been contracted out for internet related campaigns in other industries. Much of what you will be reading on this website will be about my current plays over at Absolute. I will be dissecting my plays, what I did right or wrong, and how to unlock your bonuses as quickly as possible. I will be updating Free Texas Holdem Secrets on a daily basis so there will always be fresh content to read.
Why should you listen to a rusty poker player? Well, the rust will go away pretty quick. All the know how is upstairs so it won’t take long before I remember exactly what I’m doing.
Why so much math on the site? I’m good with it. I’m naturally drawn to games such as poker, pool, and chess because of the math involved in the game. I also work in sales so poker, pool, and chess go hand in hand.
